Sundargarh lifted the Inter-District Under-16 Cricket trophy, defeating Bhubaneswar `A` by 25 runs in the final at the Ravenshaw College ground in Cuttack today.
All-rounder Suryakant Pradhan stood out in the Sundargarh triumph, hitting a scintilating 80 and bagging five wickets for 17 runs.
The champion side received the top prize of Rs 10,000, while the runners-up were given Rs 5,000.
Brief scores: Sundargarh 185/8 in 30 overs (Suryakant Pradhan 80, Sanoj Mahananda 44; Rajesh Beuria 2/21, Shibanand Dhir 2/33) beat Bhubaneswar `A` 160/10 in 27.3 overs (Subhrajit Das 46, Shibanand Dhir 32; Suryakanta Pradhan 5/17).
